English singer/songwriter James Walker is an introspective, intelligent and enthralling performer who sings songs of love, loss and healing.
Having extensively toured Europe as a pianist, co-writer and collaborator for Adam Barnes, James set his sights on creating his own work informed by his experiences of love and heartbreak, finding identity within the LGBT+ community, to recovery and rehabilitation from a rare heart condition.
His debut record, ‚English Bones‘, was released on October 27th, 2017. It was his first journey into writing about issues of identity, nostalgia and celebrity stalkers.
Up to its launch, and in the months that followed, James performed at over 230 shows across both Europe and the States with artists such as Judy Blank, Matt Phillips, Josephine Zwaan, Youri Lentjes, Adam Barnes, and Joseph & Maia,
2018 saw the launch of James Walker’s latest single, ‚Next To Me‘. A redux of the original version featured on the album, James remixed the original album stems and teamed up with Josephine Zwaan in her Amsterdam recording studio to really lean into the pop elements that the original song possessed, and create a song that went on to be featured on Spotify’s ‚Easy‘ playlist, and getting picked up by Digster Netherlands for their Sunday playlist.
James is tracking new material right now, having spent time in studios both in Connecticut and the UK. Expect new music towards the end of the year.
